YOUR LOCAL VETERINARY PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Molly is available for assessment and treatment of all animals and can travel to cover Norfolk, Suffolk and surrounding areas.
What is Veterinary Physiotherapy?
Veterinary physiotherapy combines knowledge of anatomy, physiology, manual and electro- therapy techniques which are applied to the animal to maintain, improve and restore musculoskeletal function.
I utilise a selection of cutting edge electrotherapies (such as laser, therapeutic ultrasound and pulsed electro-magnetic therapy mats) alongside more traditional manual therapies such as acupressure, joint mobilisation and massage. Combining these techniques to suit the individual helps aid the body’s natural protective and healing processes.
Some of the benefits of physiotherapy include: reducing pain, increasing the range of movement in limbs and joints, enhancing performance, prevention and treatment of injuries, preparation for and rehabilitation from surgery, reduction of scar tissue, slowing the progression of chronic conditions, and improving their quality of life.
Do not hesitate to get in touch for a free phone consultation and we can discuss how physiotherapy can help your animal.

Veterinary Consent to Treat

All therapists have their work underpinned by an Exemption Order to the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 which allows them to treat an animal under the direction of a veterinary surgeon who has first examined that animal.
The new guidance, found in Chapter 19 of the supporting guidance to the Code of Professional Conduct, sets out the existing rules for musculoskeletal treatment of illness, disease or pathology, and clarifies that healthy animals do not require a veterinary referral for maintenance care. Maintenance should cease and the owner of the animal should be asked to take their animal to a veterinary surgeon for clinical examination at the first sign that there may be any underlying injury, disease or pathology.
Animals with existing lameness, injury, illness, disease or pathology must first have been seen by a veterinarian and gain either a direct referral or consent to treat before treatment commences.
This is to ensure correct care of your animal. Turn it Around Veterinary Physiotherapy will organise consent forms upon booking. If at all unsure, please get in touch to discus details.
